My sister Kim moved out and is on her own trying her hand at running a home. As a little housewarming gift (which was done to coincide with her birthday), I sent her and her boyfriend, Vrej, a little hand made something. A quilt. Of course. I made a bow quilt (inspiration here) and I tried to keep it a touch masculine by using a gray background. I really love how it turned out! 

We don't do Christmas cards. I really wish we did. Hopefully next year I'll get it right. But last year and this year we've done V-day cards. I love putting them together! Especially when I have 2 cute girls. We sent the cards to grandparents and aunts and uncles and of course, kept one for ourselves. We used Photoboother to print the pictures, which I found via my friend, Mel. Conor and I used scrapbook paper cut to size, doilies, spray adhesive, baker's twine, and a stamp. Easy, easy!

I made these felt heart valentines for Holly's joy school class. The tutorial can be found on Purl Bee. They were quick and easy to do up and I think Holly's excited about them. She'll be very excited when I fill them with candy! I'm still trying to decide what kind of candy to stash in them.

I loved making Greta's birthday dress. I used a simple pattern that I've used so many times - the only difference is the strips of ruffling on the bodice. I love this dress. It's the fabric that makes it! And if you look close, there are little bunnies floating away with the balloons, which makes this fabric all the more appropriate for Greta.

The girls' had an empty little frame on their wall that needed filling. So, during a spare evening, I popped in a movie and embroidered little flowers on some white linen. It took me a couple hours, but I think it was worth it. I've enjoyed discovering embroidery, although I keep reminding myself, I can't embroider everything. Do you embroider? Do you like embroidery?
