new make up

I'm doing well with my resolution to take better care of myself. My hair's been cut! I bought some new make up the other day. Kind of a big deal because I'm such a cheapie when it comes to cosmetics. Pink lip gloss was on the bill! It's super fun to wear. And some neutral eyeshadow. I haven't purchased eye shadow since right before I became a married woman, and if I remember correctly, my Mom bought that compact for me! Yikes! I also added myself to the birchbox waitlist. I think it'll be a fun little way to glam up my life! 

Any make up tips or recommendations you'd like to share? What's your beauty secret?

Katie, the best thing you can do for yourself is moisturize and use plenty of sunscreen. Over the long haul sunscreen will save you time and time again. Wish I had used it more in my life. You are always beautiful especially to me. Good luck and have fun.

Moisturizer and sunscreen for sure. As for cosmetics, I have found some great mineral makeup at eyeslipsface.com - I particularly like their eyeshadows (and they are only $3 each - a steal for mineral makeup!). MAC is great too but pricey. If you need any tips on specific products I can give you some - I have tried lots!

P.S. I’m interested to hear if you like birchbox. I’ve been thinking about it but I’m a cheapie too and didn’t know if I’d like not having a choice in what comes.

I wish they had birch box here it always fun to have new make up it makes you feel like doing it more often and exploring more
